Customer Care

This page is dedicated to our 13,500 existing users Worldwide.

We have heavily invested in a Customer Care Team. Our trained advisers are on hand to provide guidance on care, storage, accessories as well as being a springboard for exploring creative use of equipment.

Here are a few hints and tips that you might find useful.

NEW!
– The choice of standard frame finishes for Q-Build and Q-Plus has been expanded, a hard wearing graphite with nylon finish is now available, as above, in addition to regular yellow zinc plated. You can now select the finish that will best suit your environment.

Hints & Tips

1. Q-Build Accessory Bag
We have a new Q-Build accessory bag. This is ideal for keeping tie plates and bungs in a safe place. A bag of (A) 12: 4-hole tie plates and (B) 24: 2-hole tie plates along with (C) 125 bungs costs just £25 + VAT. If you need more tie plates or more bungs, you can buy any combination of (A), (B) or (C) for the same price.

2. Bridge Decks
Use bridge decks to increase the size of your stage and remove the need for buying additional frames and decks. This can be very cost effective. Bridge decks simply hook onto adjacent frames and provide a basis for tiered layouts.

3. Skirting and Fascias
We can provide skirting and fascias to complete your stage. This can bring a touch of professionalism to a performance. Standard skirt colours are:

4. Carpet Covered Panels
Decks and panels can be purchased with carpet covering in a range of colours. See here for choice. Q-Build decks are reversible which offers versatility e.g. carpet for presentations, lacquered for music and drama.

5. Storage
If you only tend to use a small amount of equipment, this might help. Store decks and frames in alternate layers for easier access to smaller quantities. Simple but effective!

When using a storage dolly always store decks at an angle. Don't attempt to thread them through leg frames as this may cause them to fracture. When not using a dolly always ensure decks are stored flat.

Further storage suggestions are available from the Customer Care Team.

6. Catwalks
Staging a fashion show? Use individual modules to create a quick, easy build catwalk. Combine with lighting to add to the drama.

7. Drapes and Handrails
Slot-in handrails provide extra safety and drape posts form the basis for backdrops and support scenery.

Handrails have either vertical or horizontal in-fill
bars and simply slot into frames or steps.

Where handrails are not present, slot
Drape Posts through the deck into
the frame leg.

Where handrails are present, slot Drape
Posts into the handrail connectors and
rest on the top of the deck.

8. Cleaning
Panels are best cleaned with a damp cloth and weak, soapy water. Do not use an abrasive or solvent-based cleaner. Always store decks in a dry, non-humid environment and out of direct sunlight.
