From swimming pool to party floor
Changing rooms.
In the beautiful setting of Oxfordshire, is a beautiful house with a stunning swimming pool.
The family residence has period character and charm combined with modern convenience including a pool room. The beautifully designed space has magnificent height, the roof space features spectacular oak frames and the floor space features beautiful stone inset with a wooden floor.
Why the wooden inset? The swimming pool of course.
Beneath the floor is a 12 x 4 metre family swimming pool and the floor is a Pool-dek pool infill system that conveniently provides a new floor across the water. This means that the amazing space can be used as a function space or for a morning dip.
Pool-dek originally sourced for a 21st birthday party has since been used for various other events and provides a beautiful venue, a transformation from its origins as a cow shed! The pool room leads onto the lawn, where a marquee has extended space further, utilising the pool room as a dining space and outside for drinks. When the party is over, the Pool-dek floor can then be removed and stored compactly away, changing the pool room back to its swimming pool status.
