Nottingham Bach choir
Nottingham Bach choir's vibrant song.
Nottingham Bach choir has a membership of about 100, meeting weekly to rehearse for a variety of concerts.
The delightful environments of St Mary's and the Congregation Church, Nottingham are both main hosts to the concert events and provide great acoustics and settings for the pure and beautiful music that the mixed voice choir creates.
To make full use of the acoustics, the choir regularly uses its Q-plus tiering system and is accomplished at quickly putting the tiering together, in different arrangements, so that the choir can stand safely at incremental heights. Even the conductor has a podium of Q-plus and soloist performers use a small stage of Q-build, to highlight them at the side of the tiering.
Their most recent concert was on Saturday 28th November at St Mary's Church with performances of Grier's Around the Curve of the World, Parry's Blest Pair of Sirens and Vaughan Williams's Five Mystical Songs. Another dramatic and a magical night of performances.
