Q-Pod – The classroom revolution is now a reality |

In reaction to changing teaching styles and learning techniques Stage Systems have developed a new concept in classroom furniture. Q-Pod’s design combines flexibility, style and comfort into a compact practical unit. The ability to use more than one surface for teaching, the need to restructure room layouts for a particular activity quickly and to occupy minimum floor area when stored were the key criteria for the Stage Systems design. All this was achieved in a product that provides greater comfort through its ergonomic design and complies with the New EU CEN Standards for classroom furniture. Flexibility of the Q-Pod allows the student to follow the lesson either by rotating the chair through 360º, or if needed they can simply unlock the casters and the whole unit will rotate. The units are designed to rotate during normal operation but can also be moved around the class by lifting Q-Pod from the desk and using the directional rear casters to move the Pod. A seat that is comfortable and promotes good posture As the illustration shows Q-Pod units can slide together minimizing floor space when not in use. This makes it particularly useful in specialist applications like computer suits, science art and design areas. Q-Stool is available with a range of adjustable height gas struts and is designed to encourage an upright and balanced posture. Users of all sizes will find an option of 2 saddle styles to suit their shape and a height adjustable foot ring will suit the smaller users. Especially useful on high fixed height surfaces eg. Laboratory furniture, multi-purpose IT or dining areas. Either slides or wheeled castors are available according to use. Generally regarded as one of the most comfortable stools available. Ideal for primary school teachers who can either use the stool at full height when talking to the class or propel themselves across the classroom fully seated, but not needing to crouch over young pupils, saving back and neck ache and greatly improving teacher student contact. New versions of the saddle seat soon available attached to a height adjustable cantilever base. Both versions available either with or without a back rest. |
