In reaction to changing teaching styles and learning techniques Stage Systems have developed a new concept in classroom furniture. The QPod design combines flexibility, style and comfort into a compact practical unit.
The ability to use more than one surface for teaching, the need to restructure room layouts for a particular activity quickly and to occupy minimum floor area when stored were the key criteria for the Stage Systems design. All this was achieved in a product that provides greater comfort through the ergonomic design of the qpod and complies with the New EU CEN Standards for classroom furniture.
Flexibility of the QPod allows the student to follow the lesson either by rotating the chair through 360 degrees, or if needed they can simply unlock the casters and the whole unit will rotate. The units are designed to rotate during normal operation but can also be moved around the class by lifting QPod from the desk and using the directional rear casters to move the Pod.
As the illustration shows QPod units can slide together minimizing floor space when not in use. This makes it particularly useful in specialist applications like computer suits, science art and design areas.
