A performance stage is a key part of any event, from school productions to large public festivals. While attention often focuses on performers, lighting or sound, the stage itself is essential in supporting a safe and practical event space. A durable performance stage provides the foundation for consistency, accessibility, and ease of use, regardless of the event type or size.

Flexible Design for a Range of Uses

At Stage Systems, our performance staging is designed with flexibility and longevity in mind. The system offers a practical solution for both permanent and temporary setups, making it suitable for a wide range of users. It can be configured as a single-level or multi-level structure and is commonly used for school assemblies, university ceremonies, theatre productions, musical performances, and exhibitions. It is also frequently chosen for temporary applications such as stage extensions, orchestra pit infills, and raised flooring.

Straightforward Assembly

The staging system is straightforward to assemble and does not require tools, which is particularly helpful in time-sensitive situations or where staff may not have specialist equipment. The parts, including frames and decks (sized at 750mm x 750mm), are designed for secure assembly and can be stored compactly using wheeled trolleys when not in use.

Supporting Accessibility and Inclusion

In many event settings, accessibility is a vital consideration. Our performance staging system can be adapted to include wheelchair ramps and steps, allowing for inclusive access. This has been implemented at venues such as the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, where the system provided a temporary but secure solution to accommodate varying levels and users with mobility needs.

Engineered for Strength and Durability

Durability is built into the design of the system. All components are manufactured to a standard that supports regular use, and the decks are load-bearing tested to 7.5kN/m². This makes the system suitable for both static installations and situations where staging is assembled and dismantled frequently. To enhance usability further, users can choose from a range of deck finishes, including birch, carpet, wood stain or black emulsion. For greater flexibility, decks can be reversible, with a different finish on each side.

Designed to Fit Your Space

When planning an event, every venue brings its own requirements. We provide a consultation and design service to ensure that staging solutions are suitable for the space available and meet the relevant safety standards. Whether you’re working in a school, museum, or performance hall, our team can advise on suitable layouts and any additional components needed.

A Practical and Adaptable System

The performance staging system is supplied with a range of optional accessories to support its use in different contexts. These include access ramps, drapes, steps, safety rails, fascia panels and skirting. It is available as individual components, as pre-configured kits, or as part of a bespoke solution based on specific project needs. The system comes with a 15-year product guarantee, and we’re committed to meeting agreed timescales while providing responsive customer service.

Used and Trusted in a Variety of Settings

Stage Systems’ performance staging has been used in a variety of settings, from graduation ceremonies at Loughborough University to charity events supporting The Teenage Cancer Trust. It provides a practical and tested staging solution that can be relied upon for regular use across education, commercial, cultural, and public sector events.
