Simple, strong, and flexible, Q-build is the original, best-selling, award-winning portable staging. Popular across all sectors including Primary, Secondary, Independent and Special schools, Community and Village Halls, Commercial Conference and Training Centres and all religious or worship establishments.
First supplied to the UK in 1966, Q-build is a UK manufactured, tried and tested product, it has an excellent loading capacity of 7Kn/m2 and a long guarantee of 15 years. The staging exceeds BS6399 requirements for loading.
Q-build staging uses a metal frame to create a ‘grid’ structure on which to place the deck panels in the layout of your choice. Decks and frames are a standard 750mm x 750mm, however we offer a bespoke design service and can accommodate special projects via a free consultation and visit.
Frames are available in standard (stock) heights of 166mm, 277.5mm, 500mm and 722.5mm. The frames are stackable and can be used in conjunction with each other to create different height layouts. Frames are finished to a high standard using a grey dabble polyester powder coating to mild steel, an ERW steel tube and a glass filled nylon insert.
Making Q-build even more flexible, you can now purchase an extension kit to add to an existing kit and increase your staging footprint!

Q-build portable staging kits consist of a modular concept and design. Each kit can achieve a multi-level staging or flat staging layout depending on your performance or presentation requirements.
To achieve even more flexibility and longevity Q-build has an added feature – reversible decks. A unique design concept which allows our customers to choose two finishes on either side of their decks. One of the most popular requests is carpet to one side with ether a plain birch finish, black stage paint or varnish to the other.
All decks are constructed from BB quality plywood*, UV cured and finished with a slip resistant acrylic lacquer as standard. For added safety, due to COVID-19, we have introduced a new anti-slip lacquer which is a fast curing lacquer offering excellent scratch resistance and the incorporation of an anti-bacterial agent which enables the product to be used as a hygienic coating.

2. Add the tie plates (to secure and level the frames)
3. Place the lightweight decks onto the frames and add plugs to complete the build!
